Nigeria produces a wealth of gemstones, including tourmaline, sapphire and beryl (aquamarine, morganite, heliodor, green beryl and emerald), among others. In 2019, a deposit of medium to deep blue aquamarine was discovered in the Nasarawa State in Nigeria.
